October Pack Meeting

Ecosystems are EVERYWHERE! Come check out TriTown Cub Scout Pack 13 for the October Pack Meeting on 10/15/20.

We will be learning about and creating a mini terrarium. This will be a socially distanced, outside pack meeting & masks required.

Please RSVP for location and time if you would like to come try out Cub Scouting in Pack 13 - we want to be sure to have enough materials for everyone.

Meet The Leaders & Joining Night

This is a socially distanced time to come meet the leaders and sign up your child for

Cub Scouting with us. We are happy to email you more detailed information about our pack and any forms that we will be collecting that night.

Pack Committee and Den Leaders are actively working on details to make Cub Scouting a safe and fun time for all boys and girls in the pack and interested in joining our pack this upcoming school year. One thing is for sure, a LOT of it will be outside in the fresh air!

We are working hard with BSA and CT Rivers Council to keep our Cub Scouts, Families and Communities safe. We will follow these guidelines from CT Rivers Council and adjust as they do or are recommended to by the Towns that we reside in.

Wholesome Fun for Boys and Girls in Chester, Deep River and Essex!

Tri-Town Cub Scout Pack 13 in Chester, Deep River and Essex is an outstanding Cub Scout Pack, dedicated to the growth and development of youth in grades K-5. Through close interaction with our local schools, towns people, Chester/Deep River Boy Scout Troop 13 and Essex Boy Scout Troop 12, Cub Scouts in Pack 13 are exposed to wonderful opportunities for physical, mental and intellectual development.

This year we are growing to support all three towns in the Tri-Town area!
You'll be amazed at what one FUN hour a week can do for the your son or daughter and the parent/child relationship. Youth involved with Cub Scouts are all given the opportunity to learn to be a leader.

If you think your child might enjoy Cub Scouts - come visit a Pack meeting to learn more about Scouting and see our Pack in action.
Our monthly Pack Meetings are held at the United Church of Chester (29 West Main Street) on the Third Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm. (February is a Saturday Event/Pack Meeting) and We CAMP locally so if you need to slip out for a sports game you can come back easily for the rest of the fun.

1st Lion Den Meeting of 2019-2020

Parents - Are you ready to help your child start their Cub Scouting Adventures? The Lion Den is for the Kindergarten grade children ready to start Cub Scouts.

We will be holding our first Den Meeting

Even if you haven't registered yet - this is a great time to come try Cub Scouting and see if you and your child would like to join Tri-Town Cub Scout Pack 13 for the year and enjoy all the fun, learning and award earning we have planned. We will have joining packets with all the information you need at the Den Meeting.

Pack 13 to enter Knot Board at Local Fairs

Pack 13's August Activity Meeting was spent learning knots, making a knot board and enjoying a campfire with smores!

Come to the fair and see the board and see if the Pack won a ribbon for their hard work.

Haddam Neck Fair 8/30-9/2/19 Entered in the Educational Exhibits (located in the Carriage House)

Curriculum Night 9/12/19 and Joining Night 9/19/19

Are you a parent interested in signing up your Sons and/or Daughters (grades K-5) in Cub Scouts?

Pack 13 will have display tables at Chester, Deep River and Essex Elementary school curriculum nights on 9/12/19 - stop by and ask any questions you may have about Cub Scouting in the Tri-Town area!

We are a Co-Ed pack open to all children in the Tri-town area regardless which school they attend (public, private or home or Montessori). All families are welcome!

Most important we want to offer the opportunity for your child to have fun while learning, make new friends, participate in historic Cub Scouting activities like camping and the Pinewood Derby and grow into great citizens.

Join us for the Summer Sleepover at a Minor League Baseball Game in June

Veteran's Day 10,000 Flag Placing

Pack 13 has been invited by the VFW to help them place 10,000 American flags at the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown

Flags will be provided at the cemetery. This is a Rain or Shine or Snow event. We want to honor those who served so their families will see the sacrifices are Never Forgotten.

Flags will be removed on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 9 am if you would like to participate - We encourage you to do so.

Games & Goodies & Laughs - No Ghouls....

Cubs can wear their costumes if they wish or wear their Uniforms. Lots of Halloween themed games! Parents bring your cameras - cute moments to capture!

Also, we will have announcements and flyers for the parents and a will be talking about the Scouting for Food Drive to benefit the Chester & Deep River Food Pantries

If you aren't a Cub Scout yet - and think you want to try it out - this is a great meeting to come meet the other families! Grades K-5 Boys and Girls welcome! Joining information will be available too.

Successful Rain Gutter Regatta

Pack 13 held its Rain Gutter Regatta and Joining Night on Thursday, September 20th.

The Cub Scouts had a great time creating and building the boats then racing against each other.
